Talented Fedoskino artist Vyacheslav Svyatchenkov painted this winter country side scene.
The composition shows us a village after a snow storm.
Several citizens went away from homes and met at the main street. A man just met a lady and having a rest talking to her between cleaning from a his boardwalk. The man is leaning on a shovel. A little bit further one lady is carrying a bucket filled with a water. In a right above corner over the crown of a tree we can see the top of a village Church.
The scene is painted in grey-white and some brownish tones of oils that help to reproduce the atmosphere of a winter evening. Bronze paint highlights the branches of the trees covered with the snow.
The scene is framed with a thin line painted in white oils. Two parallel lines painted in gold can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2007.
