This exquisite portrait of a woman holding a porcelain statuette was painted by Fedoskino artist Svetlana Danshina. It is an excellent representation of Fedoskino realism. The artist has expertly implemented shade and tone to create this life-like portrait of an upper class woman, who is a pleasure to behold.
The box's exterior is decorated with elegant patterns painted in gold and accented with light violet oils.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.
