This museum quality artistry was created by the talented Fedoskino master Andrey Gaiduk. The master organizes this tranquil winter setting with a gorgeous array of entrancing color and creative design.
Here the artist has drawn an old Moscow Street that leads upwards from the Temple of Christ the Savior. The scene is painted in the realistic style in white and grey tones oils. Gold paint is used to create a sparkle of the Christ the Savior Tempel's domes, and to highlight some areas throughout the scene. Silver powder shines through the oils accentuating various details. Postcard elegance.
The scene is framed with a thin gold line. Two parallel gold lines wrap around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the title.
