This exceptional portrait of a rich aristocratic woman was created by the talented Olga Bobrul of Fedoskino. Stunning realism. Traditional excellence.
The portrait is painted against the dark red background. Dark red paint is also used to cover the box's sides; this dark red area on the box's sides is studded with very thin and almost invisible black veins. The portrait is framed with a gold line. A gold line accompanied by gorgeous gold ornaments detailed with brown oil paint can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the year of 2004.
