Tatyana Tipyakova of Fedoskino is the accomplished master responsible for the gorgeous artistry before you. Her ability to create realistic landscape themes is second to none. The work is called “Swallows”, and shows a flock of swallows hovering over the fresh, misty meadow. The palette is based on contrast colors. The combination of pink tones of the sunrise and green tones of the meadow looks very beautiful. A small piece of mother-pearl shines brightly through the morning sun. Gold dust is spread throughout the scene to fill it with light and sparkle.
The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title and the year of 2007.
