This beautiful box has been painted by the talented Fedoskino artist Uliana Danchenko. The work is called "The Angel of Happiness", and shows the artist's fantasy on this theme. The box has two compositions; one of them is painted on the lid, and another one is drawn on the box's exterior bottom. Both of them show beautiful angels of happiness flying in the paradise sky. Each scene is passionately drawn using bright oils. Shimmering blue spangles spread throughout the scenes help to create a magic and surreal atmosphere. Blue spangles can be also found on the box's sides that imitate a stone color (blue blurry spots are scattered against the white background).
The box's interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, the year of 2007 and the village of Fedoskino.
