Rinat Yunusov likes to depict the architecture of the Moscow Kremlin in his works. This splendid box continues this theme. Here the artist has painted a beautiful view of the Moscow Kremlin red-bricked wall, the Alexandrovsky Garden and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
Gold metal powder has been used as an underlayer for this scene to create a charming sparkle of the architecture, the trees and even the grass. The correctness of the drawing gives exceptional depth.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The box's exterior imitates the stone of malachite (green blurry spots and veins are scattered against the black lacquered background), while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2008 and the title ("Alexandrovsky Garden").
