Description:

Renowned painter Vladimir Yemelyanov of Fedoskino has crafted this exquisite portrait of the Princess Zinaida Nikolaevna Yusupova dressed in the Russian traditional costume. The original of this work was painted on canvas by the outstanding Russian painter Konstantin Egorovich Makovsky in the 1900s. This masterpiece is exhibited in the State Historical Museum situated within the territory of the Moscow Kremlin ensemble.
As an artist, Yemelyanov has many rewards and diplomas. Portraits are among his favorite themes to depict, and is highly skilled when it comes to painting them. Yemelyanov considers it very important to make life-like images and realistic compositions.
The portrait is framed with a bright gold line. The box's sides are adorned with a lustrous and wide gold band completed with intricately painted scrolls detailed thinly with brown oils.
The box is made out of paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the portrait, and rests on a flat bottom. Black lacquer covers its exterior and red lacquer covers its interior. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2007.
