Size: 14.5x19.5x4.5
Size (inches): 5.75x7.75x1.75

This stunning work is has been created by Oleg Yastrebov. It is painted on the Easter theme, and shows a small boy holding some Easter eggs, and his mother giving him a kiss. This is a Russian Easter tradition that is called "khristosovanie" (exchanging a triple kiss after the greeting "Christ is risen!" that is responded with "Truly He is risen!": one cheek, another cheek, lips).
The characters are painted in cream oils against the dark background. Their costumes are detailed with gold paint. The scene is framed with two parallel gold lines; two parallel gold lines also decorate the edges of the lid. The box's sides are decorated with elegant gold tartan patterns.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the piece. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title (“Khristovanie”) and the year of 2007.
