This glasses case is a creation of the talented Fedoskino artist, A. Chirkov. Here he depicts the full-length portrait of a Japanese woman wearing the traditional Japanese costume. Splendidly painted this piece is a fine example of Fedoskino portraiture.
The portrait is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2009, and Fedoskino.
