Elena Aldoshkina always creates very attractive works, and this box is one more her enchanting creation.
The work is called "The Blue Bird", and shows the loving couple, and the dove that is associated with romantic feelings. The scene is painted in blue, light green and crimson tones against the light yellow background. Along the sloping edges of the lid the artist has painted in light blue and green oils a nice floral pattern.
The scene is framed with a bright gold line; another gold line wraps around the box's sides. The box's light yellow exterior is studded with almost invisible, tiny light blue and gold dots. The interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title, and the year of 2006 on the lid's interior.
