This festive box has been painted by a talented Artist Svetlana Kolmogorova. Actually it is a tandem of wife and husband-the Komogorovs family: Svetlana and Konstantin.
The work is called "An Autumn Night...” and shows us an Autumn as Lady.
The scene is painted in bright oil paints to create a festal mood. Shining pieces of gold metal leaf that can be found in the costume of "An Autumn Night" and some of the plants are used to strengthen the festive and miraculous atmosphere of Autumn Night.
At the top of the composition is decorated with oak leaves. "An Autumn Night" has a crown composed of beautiful autumn flowers. The edges of the lid are adorned with a wide gold band that is extended on the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, and the village of Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
