This beautiful five-sided box is a creation of Konstantin Komogorov. Called "Magic" it shows some spirits and fantastic creatures gathered at the night forest. Each the box's five compositions is filled with the images of real animals and birds like a squirrel, an owl, fish, and a frog as well as with the images of fantastic creatures like a unicorn, forest spirits, and mythical birds.
Various shades of blue oils predominate here as the action takes place at night. Shining gold paint is used to detail the characters and the rich plant life painted around them.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid's sides are decorated with stylish gold ornaments. The lid is hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the title of the work ("Magic").
