This splendid box is a creation of Medvedeva from the village of Fedokino. The box show bright fragile butterflies hovering over lovely wild flowers. Silver metal paint shines brightly through the center of the composition. The dimensional treatment of the flowers add depth and 3-D effect. Bright yellow to brown tones of oils has been chosen as a background for the depicted scenes.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the painting, and the box rests on feligree platform. The work is signed by the artist.
