This fascinating lacquer box has been painted by talented Fedoskino artist Dmitriy Tipyakov!
Dmitriy really likes to paint landscape scenes.This might comes from his mother-prominent Fedoskino artist-Tatiana Tipyakov, who is also famous by her outstanding landscape scenes.
The box's lid is richly decorated. In the middle of each side we can see a piece of mother-of-pearl.
An Old Oak is painted on shining pearl surface. We can see a small village Church and village house in the perspective of the painting. The scene is encompassed with a gold metal frame adorned with floral relief work.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the piece is painted with a creamy white lacquer while the interior is covered with a beige velvety material.
