Liliana Slaeva is the author of this beautiful Fedoskino box. The work is called "Flower", and shows a beautiful girl sitting on the ground surrounded with different plants, flowers and leaves. She is a single whole with the nature, and beautiful like a paradise flower.
The scene is painted in light brown oils against the cream background. To enliven such a monotonous palette, the artist has mixed brown oils with gold powder. Cream tone has been also chosen to cover the box's exterior while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The artist continues to paint leafs and plants on the box's sides.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title the year of 2010 and the village of Fedoskino.
