The famous Fedoskino artist, Viktor Tretiakov, is enchanted by romanticism of the nineteenth century. He likes to depict elegant ladies and gentlemen of high society dressed according to the fashion of the bygone epoch. This brilliantly painted box is also painted on this theme and shows the date of a loving couple in the park.
The composition is framed with a gold line; two parallel gold lines decorate the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.
