Svetlana Chirkova from the village of Fedoskino continues to astonish the viewer with her masterful works, and to demonstrate her talent in depicting astonishing female portraits.
The box shows the beautiful girl whose name is Anastasya. Dressed in the elegant, airy gown embroidered with gold, she strolls in the birch grove like a goddess. Incomparably beautiful.
The girl is painted in light tones against the radiant turquoise blue and green background. Radiance is achieved with the help of mother-of-pearl set into the most part of the background. Gold paint is used to detail the girl's dress, her hair and trunks of the trees. The box's sides are adorned with interestingly designed ornaments composed of silver dots and paradise flowers hued with blue oils.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left, and the box rests on a flat bottom. On the exterior bottom of the box the artist paints in grey oils the title of the piece, the village of Fedoskino, the year of 2009 and her original signature.
