Description: This originally shaped box has been painted by Valeriy Kovalyov from the village of Fedoskino. The work is called "Coming Back to the Patrimony", and shows a traveler sledging out of the winter forest at night. He approaches his house and his wife with little children welcome him near the threshold. He is lucky because he has left the forest in time and the wolf painted in the foreground hasn't attacked him.
Both the box's exterior and interior are covered with the complex pattern painted in different shades of blue and violet oils that looks like imitation stone.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the title.
