Svetlana Chirkova specializes in portrait genre, and has already created a series of astonishing female portraits. She has a recognizable painting style, and tries to produce the works of her own original design.
The piece is called " Time of Blossoming ", and shows the artist's fantasy on this theme. Chirkova imagines the time of blossoming as a beautiful woman covered with fresh fragrant flowers.
The portrait is painted against the shining silver background. The box's sides are decorated with an original pattern composed of tiny circles drawn in pink oil paint.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Its exterior is traditionally covered with black lacquer, and red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge has been fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on the flat bottom. Chirkova has written her name, the title, and Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
