Svetlana Chirkova from the village of Fedoskino painted this magnificent box. It is called "Remembrance", and features the beautiful girl standing in the beam of light, surrounded with roses and butterflies. The artist extended his painting on the box's sides.
The almost nude figure of the girl is painted in a melody of light oils that are very appealing to the eye. Her skin has a very soft look, and it is so delicately painted it is difficult to see the brush strokes. Her face is very pretty and drawn to perfection with extreme detail.
Bright silver powder shines through the blue area filled with flowers and butterflies that frames the girl's figure. Silver powder is used to create the source of light that emanates the beam of light, which is drawn on the box's side. Also silver paint is used to paint stems of plants that surround the girl's figure.
The box's exterior is covered with deep blue paint mixed with aluminum powder. Its interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge has been fastened to the left of the composition, and the box rests on the flat bottom. Chirkova has signed, titled, and dated (2007) in her work on the box's bottom.
