Title: Winter in Suzdal
Artist: Kuznetsov Anatoliy
Size: 16x12x5
Size (inches): 6.25x4.75x2
Price : $1750 SOLD!

This beautiful view of the ancient Russian town of Suzdal in winter is painted by Anatoliy Kuznetsov. The scene is painted in the realistic style. Large pieces of mother-of-pearl that have bright greenish, pink, lilac, blue and yellow undertones decorate the composition amazingly. Mother-of-pearl creates a sparkle of the architecture and the snow in the central part of the composition. The composition is framed with a thin gold line while the box's sides are adorned with elegant tartan pattern painted in different shades of tempera paints and outlined in gold.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the year of 2010 .
