This beautifully ornamented box has been painted by TOP 10 Fedoskino Master Luybov Pashinina. In the middle of the box's lid the artist has painted the portrait of a beautiful Russian peasant girl feeding birds from her palm. The portrait glows radiantly been painted on an oval piece of mother-of-pearl. A wide band inlaid with pieces of mother-of-pearl that shine with blue and green undertones is used to frame the portrait. Each of the box's sides is decorated with rectangular shaped mother-of-pearl mosaic that shine with blue, violet and green undertones.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box's exterior and the lid's interior are covered with cream lacquer while the box's interior bottom is covered with light gray velvety material. The box is closed firmly with the help of a golden knob. The lid is hinged from the top of the portrait and the box rests on four gold rounded legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2010.
