Svetlana Yevdokimova-Belovodova from the town of Dmitrov created this originally shaped box. The work is called "An Old Forester". According to folk believes, the Forest Man is a forest Spirit who keeps the forest and can understand the language of animals and protect all alive being from evil.Here we can see that a Forester is carrying a bird on his back. Forester is of a small size- mushrooms on the front of the composition are almost half way of him. A piece of mother-of-pearl is shines through the hat of the forester.
The artist has used a golden foil to make a luminous affect, that shines through the forester's cloth , mushrooms and a bird.
The box's exterior is covered with green oils mixed with aluminum powder. Its interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition, and the box rests flat. Signed with the name of the artist, the title, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2005 on the lid's exterior in gold paints.
