This brilliantly painted sentimental scene is a creation of the famous Fedoskino artist Lubov Goleneva. The composition shows a little girl staying on a chair and holding several rose flowers in her hands.
The predominant pallet of this composition is brown. We can see bright brown wall against which the girl is painted, the massive table made of an oak tree on the background has a deep brown color. The soft rose color of flowers and a white beautiful dress of a girl are contrasting with those brown tones and makes the composition looks very rich.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The scene is framed with a gold line while the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2011.
