This small, but very detailed box is a creation of talented Fedoskino artist Tamara Volodina. The box shows us an Elf-boy sit in a center of a flower and playing on flute.
A small piece of mother-of-pearl inlay-ed into a cap of an Elf. The costume of an Elf is painted with gold paint.
The box's exterior is creamy gray, while the interior is traditionally red. On the box's sides the artist continues to paint the flowers ,flower herbs and ladybirds. Each of the ladybirds depicted here are crafted three-dimensionally as well as flower on the top right corner of the composition! The box rests flat.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2010 and the village of Fedoskino.
