This oval shaped box has been painted by Valeriy Kovalyov from the village of Fedoskino. The work is called "Winter in the Patrimony", and shows a traveler sledging out of the winter forest at the evening. He almost approached his house and the young moon has shown in the skies.
Both the box's exterior and interior are covered with the complex pattern painted in different shades of blue and violet oils that looks like imitation of stone.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the title.
