Liliana Slaeva is the author of this beautiful Fedoskino box. The work is called "Happy Time", and shows a couple that is fall in love. These two figures are radiated the tenderness and the fluids of love. Couple is dressed in Russian costumes of the 19th Century. A girl is wearing Sarafan and the guy is wearing Kaftan. Over their heads we can see golden Maple leaves. They are so close to each other so we can tell that just in a moment they will kiss.
The scene is painted in light brown oils against the cream background. To enliven such a monotonous palette, the artist has mixed brown oils with gold powder. Cream tone has been also chosen to cover the box's exterior while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The box's sides and the bottom are also decorated with a golden dust mix.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, the year of 2011 and the village of Fedoskino.
