Description:

The famous Fedoskino artist Viktor Tretyakov is the artist who painted this magnificent box that depicts fireworks over the Moscow Kremlin. It is a fragment of the work originally painted by Piotr Puchkov. The similar image is pictured in the book by Malakhov N., 1990, FEDOSKINO, Izobrazitelnoye Isskusstvo Publishers, Moscow, page 135.
The scene is painted in dark tones suitable for reproduction of the action that takes place at night. Bright gold powder shines beautifully through the oils creating a magnetic glow of fireworks. The edges of the lid are decorated with a thin gold line. The box's sides are adorned with elegant ornaments composed of gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.
