This attractive box is a creation of talented Fedoskino artist Masha Mochalova. It shows a young fellow reading a book and dreaming of his future travels...
Aluminum paints are used to fill the scene with various details, and add the sparkle necessary to catch the eye.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The sides and the base of the box are covered with a blue paint imitating the blue marble. Red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box is hinged from the left of the scene, and rests flat. The work is signed with the name of the artist.
