This brilliantly painted sentimental scene is a creation of the famous Fedoskino artist Lubov Goleneva. The composition shows a girl washing several of her favorite dolls in a wooden tub.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2011.
