This magnificent box is the creation of talented Alexey Chirkov from the village of Fedoskino. It features the wise old man sit on a stone. In his left hand he is holding a crook and a wise Raven is sit on it.The deatils of the box are amazing. An old man painted with photo-like quality, feathers of the raven are painted with precise skill. On the background we can see the cupolas of Russian Orthodox Monastery.
The artist uses a very unique palette that mainly consists of silver metal, gold metal and white oil paints.
The exterior of the box is covered with black paint; the interior of the box is covered with red lacquer.
The sides of the box is decorated with a thick gold line.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition and the box rests on a flat bottom.The box is signed with the artist's name , dated (2011) and Fedoskino at the bottom of the composition.
