Description: Rinat Yunusov is enchanted with beauty of the ancient architecture of the Moscow Kremlin, and continues to depict it in his brilliant works. Here the artist has painted a magnificent view of the embankment of the Moscow River. We can see several Towers of the red-bricked Moscow Kremlin wall. In the background the artist has painted the glorious sight of the Temple of Christ the Saviour in winter when the snow is laying all around, the golden domes of the Churches are hidden under fresh snow.
The magnificent building of the Temple of Christ the Saviour is located downtown Moscow. It was constructed on a vow given by sovereign Alexander I in gratitude for saving fatherland "from the French Army invasion".
Gold metal powder has been used as an underlayer for this scene to create a charming sparkle of the architecture, the trees and cupolas. Yunusov has paid great care to detail, inviting the viewer again and again to delight in the scene.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The box's exterior imitates the stone of marble (brown blurry spots and veins are scattered against the cream lacquered background), while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2006 and the title ("Kremlin's embankment").
