This attractive box has been painted by Mochalova Marie from the village of Fedoskino. Marie is a daughter of talented Fedoskino artists Nikolay Zotov and Moiseeva Elena, who is for this moment the chief Artist of Fedoskino Factory!
The box shows a scene from an old Russian fairy tale Teremok.
That was little house in the forest, a little mouse start living there and then all other animals has joined her community. Every new one start asking-who lives in Teremok?
The last one was a bear, he didn't fit into this small house and when he still decided to live on the top of the house, he destroyed it, but animals didn't failed him, and built all together a new house very quickly!
Aluminum metal leaf shines through the background. The house Teremok and the Rooster on it are painted with gold paint.
The painting is continuing on the sides of the box.
Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box.
