Talented Fedoskino artist Liliana Slaeva is the author of this beautiful box. The work is called "The Red-Hairs", and shows a beautiful young red-hair girl sit at the window of a village house. Her smile is charming and two also red-hair cats are purring at her hand and her shoulder. The girl has a flower in her hair and a freckles on her face.
White tone has been also chosen to cover the box's exterior while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. Composition and the edge of the box's base are decorated with rich golden lines.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, the year of 2011 and the village of Fedoskino in white oils at the bottom of the composition and hard to find without turning the box to the sun/light.
