Dmitry Rogatov from the village of Fedoskino is the artist who has painted this interesting work.
Here Rogatov depicted an old time moment. The steam engine is coming near the store, the dog is rushing and barking on it, the street is covered with a very heavy snow, it must be a middle of winter already...To paint this scene the artist has used mono-chromic technique, only several details are painted with the aid of gold. Aluminum paint highlights all the elements of the composition and some areas of the landscape.On the sides of the box the artist has continued to paint the old steam engined trains.
Gold line frames the scene, and another gold line decorates the box's sides edge. The box's bottom is flat and covered with black lacquer; the box's interior is covered with red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2011.
