Boris Shavyrin is the author of this peaceful box. The animal scenes are traditional subjects in the Fedoskino school. This box depicts the two beautiful swans.
The sides of the box's exterior imitates the color of blue marble. The bottom is painted black. The interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2011.
