Olga Kachalkina, from the village of Fedoskino is the talented artist responsible for this delightful piece. The box is of semicircular shape that suits perfectly for reproduction of a forest landscape. We can see three hares sit between the dandelion flowers.
The plants and the leaves are drawn in brilliant gold metal paint. The rest part of the composition is drawn in subdued oils. Listerine of metal paints is strengthened by the black lacquered background.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title ("Joyful Family") and the year of 2011.
