Anokhin's otherworldly style and subtle palette are easily recognizable. The palette includes blue tones. Silver metal powder shines through the hair.
Brilliant gold paint is used to paint the wings of the dragonfly.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the composition, and rests on wavy legs. The work is signed with the artist's name.
