This marvelous box has been painted by Tatiana Kosheleva from the village of Fedoskino. It is called "Autumn", and shows the girl playing the violin in the beautiful autumn garden. Gold paint highlights yellow maple leaves painted in the foreground. The maple leaves are extended on the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. White lacquer covers the exterior and gold lacquer covers the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened to the left of the composition, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed, titled and dated (1997) by the artist on the lid's interior.
