Talented artist Svetlana Yevdokimova-Belovodova from the town of Dmitrov created this original box. The work is called "Garnet" and shows us a portrait of beautiful lady.With this work the artist continued the series of Lady-stones.
The artist has used real garnet stones as incrustations to make a 3D affect.
The box's exterior is covered with dark red oils mixed with aluminum powder. Its interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition, and the box rests on four garnet stones. Signed with the name of the artist, the title, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2011 on the lid's exterior in gold paints.
