Talented Fedoskino artist Boris Shavirin is the author this earthbound composition. With this scene an artist is continuing the series of the boxes such as Uninvited Guests, Found a Mouse, Winter Follies and others showing his peaceful sense of humor.
In one of the early Spring days wife was tired of waiting of her husband home. So, she knew that he went to his friends-villagers, she took a wooden beater with her...and she was right, because her husband was drunk and was playing the accordion on the street.
Several pieces of mother-of-pearl are inlayed into the surface of the box and shines us through the wife clothes, thought the skies and one wall of the house to the right from a tipsy player.
The scene is framed with a gold line. The box's exterior sides imitates the color of gray marble. The interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2012.
