This beautiful originally-shaped box was painted by a leading Fedoskino artist Dmitriy Rogatov and shows a scene from a real hunting life. On one side we can see how a hunter who is looking at the sleepless bear,who came to eat the apples. On the back side we can see beautiful winter forest scenery. On the top of the box(the lid), we can see top of the apple tree full of apples.A little squirrel is jumping on the bushes...
The box is painted in mono-chromic style. A silver paint is used to detail the characters' costumes and headlight the trees and apples.
The box exterior is covered with a black lacquer. The box's interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge at the top of the box, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name and a date.
