This attractive box was painted by talented Master Mochalova Marie from the village of Fedoskino. Masha Mochalova is a daughter of talented Fedoskino artists Nikolay Zotov and Moiseeva Elena, who is for this moment the chief Artist of Fedoskino Factory.
The box features two Elves gathering Oak tree nuts and ash-berries.
The scene is painted in dark colors painted against a light blue background.
Gold metal leaf shines through the costumes of the characters. Some other parts of the composition are highlighted with aluminum powder.The painting is coming from the lid of the box to their sides. The lid of the box is all covered with a piece of mother-of pearl.
Red lacquer completes the interior of the box.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests flat. The work is signed by the artist.
