Talented Fedoskino artist Taisiya Danchenko is the author of this beautiful box painted on New Year's theme. It shows Santa sit on a chair and picking up gifts for the kids from a big box. The composition is pretty much detailed. The artist masterfully used her gift and skills of painting on this theme.The composition is framed with an intricate gold ornament.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Blue lacquer mixed with gold powder is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the title ("Gifts").
