This large box was painted by a talented Fedoskino artist Frolova Tatiana.
Here we can see a beautiful lady with a parrot on her elongated hand and a large lion right behind her. The shades of the clothes and details are just amazing!
A piece of mother-of-pearl is shining through a dress of a pretty lady.
The composition is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition, and the box rests on flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year and the village of Fedoskino.
