Svetlana Chirkova is an established Fedoskino artist who has painted this beautiful lacquer box.
Chirkova specializes in portrait genre, and has already created a series of astonishing female portraits. She has a recognizable painting style, and tries to produce the works of her own designs.
This piece is called "Mask Off", and shows a portrait like painted young woman which just took the mask of her beautiful face.
The box has a light green background and the portrait is framed with the stylish ornament. The box's sides are black.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Red lacquer covers the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on the flat bottom. Chirkova has written her name, the title of the box, and Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
