This peaceful composition was painted by a talented Fedoskino artist Galina Sverlova.
It shows us four peasant kids on the stoop of a village house. The oldest daughter is holding in her arms the youngest child.
On the background of the composition we can see an endless water surface and a small house surround the bushes.
The painting is very much detailed, the cloth of the figures is painted very precise, colors are contrast!
The composition is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and dated.
