Talented Olisova Larisa is the artist who has painted this interesting work.
Here Olisova has depicted two ladies walking in an Autumn park. The artist has used a lot of gold to bring us a very realistic feeling of a golden fall.
The whole composition is richly decorated with several pieces of mother-of-pearl! On piece is "hidden" in the lady's dress which is on the left, the other two are in the ladies hats.
The sides of the box are richly decorated in a style which first time was used by the famous family pair Shapkin-Kareva. The gold leaf is glued to the surface and then cut the gold out it the artist is making rich ornamentation!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box (bottom) is black, while red lacquer completes its interior. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on the four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the village of Fedoskino and title-"Two Ladies".
