Svetlana Chirkova is an established Fedoskino Artist who has painted this beautiful lacquer box.
Chirkova specializes in portrait genre, and has already created a series of astonish female portraits. She has a recognizable painting style, and produce the works of her own designs!
The piece is called "Awaiting", and shows the artist's fantasy on this theme. Chirkova has painted a beautiful woman covered with the wings of butterflies.
The portrait is painted against the shining silver and blue background. The box's sides are continued the design and colors of the main portrait (silver and blue palette).
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Red lacquer covers the interior of the work. A hinge has been fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on the flat bottom. Chirkova has written her name, the title, and Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
